Select the type of search by clicking on the Company Search or Producer (Agent) Search button. The selected search screen will open with blank fields. To view an explanation of the data that can be selected for the various fields, click on the field name.

To search for a company or a list of companies, query criteria can be entered in one or more of the following fields:

To search for a specific producer (agent) or a list of producers (agents), query criteria can be entered in one or more of the following fields:

* This field has a list of values that are unique to this field. To view the various values that can be selected scroll down using the black arrow on the right side of the field.

** This field allows you to select multiple lines for a query. To select more than one line, click on the first line you want to select scroll down to the next line, press the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click on the next line(s). This field will populate based on the Company License Type or the Producer License Type selected. If no selection is made in the Company License Type or the Producer License Type, then all lines will be shown.

After your query criteria have been entered, the information can be viewed on line by clicking on the Search button located at the bottom of the search screen. The results of your search will be displayed. To view an individual record, click on the company or producer's name. The information for the selected recored will be displayed. To view another record from your search, click on the Back button and select a record.

To print the results of your search, click on the Download button, then click on the Open button. Using your default text editor (Notepad, etc) the information can be viewed and printed from your computer.

Your search results can be saved in a tab delimited text file. After you have clicked on the Download button, select the Save button. The file created will list your search criteria, the time and date of the search and the producer's name, their address, phone number and the original issue date (if a specific date was entered in this field). This file can be used to create your own mailing labels.

The database information is updated every Friday. If you've recently became licensed or made a change in your information, it may take a week for the updated information to appear on the web site.

The Original Issue Date is the date that the producer's license was first issued by the Nebraska Department of Insurance. Entering a date in this field will create a list of all producers whose licenses were issued after the date entered.

Query criteria must be entered in at least one field before the Search or Download button is selected.

To create a list of producers (agents) that sell a specific line of insurance, in the Producer License Type field select Producer, in the Producer Lines field select a specific line such as Life Insurance and Annuities, and in the City field type in the name of the city.

To select more than one line in a search field as query criteria, click on the first criteria you want to select, scroll down to the next line, press the Ctrl key on your keyboard and click on the next line selection. The number of query criteria you select in this manner is limited only by the number of criteria available.

The National Producer # (NPN) is the number assigned to licensed producers by the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR).

Information from the Nebraska Department of Insurance is updated every weekend. Some records may be in pending or review status and will not be displayed. All data retrieved represents licensed producers and companies with active licenses.
