VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHTS
Helen Riley
Helen volunteered for a Medicare information booth at a health fair held February 22 in Omaha. Approximately, 100 people picked up information about disability options, fraud, supplement insurance, long-term care and general NICA program information.Juanita Moore
NICA Volunteer Juanita Moore gave a presentation to the public on February 11 in Omaha. Approximately 55 Medicare beneficiaries and/or pre-enrollees attended her presentation on Medicare fraud and abuse.Corinne Howe
NICA Volunteer Corinne Howe gave a presentation to the Serendipity Womens Club (formerly the extension group) on long-term care insurance in Kearney in February.Juanita Moore
NICA Volunteer Juanita Moore from the Omaha area was busy again in March speaking at the Florence Senior Center and at the Benson Senior Center. She spoke to 55 Medicare beneficiaries and underserved people about Medicare.Ruby Hays
Ruby volunteered for two presentations in Kearney on Medicare fraud and waste. She spoke at the First Christian Church to approximately 13 people and at the Senior Hospitality Center to 75 people.Sandy Skillett
NICA Volunteer Sandy Skillett had a Medicare exhibit at the home show in Broken Bow in February. More than 1,000 people attended the show and 212 registered at Sandy's booth. They picked up information about original Medicare, prescription drug assistance and general NICA program information.Marge Smith
NICA Volunteer Marge Smith gave four presentations in March. She spoke to over 100 people about Prescription Drug Programs at the Elwood Senior Center, the Curtis Senior Center, the Eustis Senior Center, and the Gothenburg Senior Center.Thank you to these people!
