CMS to Sponsor Flu and Pneumonia Study

You may be among those selected to participate in a flu and pneumonia study to be conducted in March. On a confidential basis, your name may be drawn from a group of Medicare beneficiaries from each of the 50 states and two territories participating in this research. A total of 2000 beneficiaries were randomly selected for participation.

Your participation in the telephone survey is voluntary and will contribute to Medicare's flu and pneumonia vaccination program reaching more citizens like yourself. You will receive a letter in the mail asking for your participation in the telephone survey.

This study collects information on flu and pneumonia health issues. It also asks for opinions about the reliability of flu and pneumonia information obtained from various sources. Please keep in mind that all information is kept confidential and no information that will identify you will be released.

The survey is conducted over the telephone and will take approximately seven minutes.

Missed Connection

A young businessman had just started his own firm. He'd rented a beautiful office and had it furnished with antiques. Sitting there, he saw a man come into the outer office. Wishing to appear busy, the businessman picked up the phone and started to pretend he had a big deal working. He threw huge figures around and made giant commitments.
