The fall season has proven to be very busy for the NICA Program Office and the NICA Volunteers.

NICA hosted a total of six update trainings for the volunteers from August through November. Eighty-six volunteers attended the updates. Please remember that updates are part of being a volunteer. It is important to attend the updates in order to keep up with current happenings, changes in Medicare and for new information. Thank you to those who were able to attend the updates - it was great to see you again.

NICA has also been busy assisting clients. The NICA Program Office and the NICA Volunteers have counseled many seniors this fall. Everyone has been completing and returning their Record of Counseling Forms. Keep in mind that for each client you counsel, you are eligible to have your name placed in the drawing. This means the more counseling and forms you complete, the more chances your name will be drawn for a prize. Keep up the great work.

The busy times of Autumn will traditionally slow down during the holidays. However, this is an excellent time to assist clients, as many of your clients will be around family during the holidays. Families always bring up more questions or may have questions about their loved one's insurance. Please make yourself available for your clients, even during the busy holiday season.
