Medicare Choices Helpline
As of March 15, 1999, telephone service is available for Medicare+Choice to all 50 states and Washington DC. This number is 1-800-MEDICAR(E). This helpline has pre-recorded answers to frequently asked questions. It is available 24 hours a day.When you call, you will receive general information and printed materials on the Medicare Health Plan options in your area.
Remember, to apply for Medicare, call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 or visit the Internet website at www.medicare.gov or www.hcfa.gov
